ELEGANT FOOTWORK AND COMPLEX EMBELLISHMENTS

In this intensive seminar we will study the fundamentals of elegant footwork for followers. It is in the working of the follower’s feet that we notice her or his true level of skill. Footwork involves knowledge of anatomy, but also an understanding of tango aesthetics in order to create beautiful lines. We will work on finding the correct standing point for the working leg, learn the principles for the workings of the free foot and align the feet with the rest of the body. The second part of the workshop will be dedicated to advanced complex embellishments for the free leg to be used in paradas, ochos and walking.
